Baking and sugar work in general are my passion. I started baking as a teenager for fun for my family and friends and I started posting some photos of my sugar work online . Before I knew it, people started asking me if I could make something for them. This is basically how my business started. Shortly after, I got into cake competitions and I had a lot of fun with that. I learned that the only competition that I have is against myself and my whole goal became to always be better than I was yesterday. I learned very quickly that by having the right mindset and attitude , there is no real competition! Cake competitions became a lot of fun at that point and the stress of competing was gone. I won 1st place in my beginner cake sculpting category at the 2015 North Texas Cake Show.

My love for sugar flowers is what got me into the wedding cake business. I learned to make sugar flowers from books and online videos by different pastry chefs. Sugar work is a skill learned only with a lot of practice. Even though it can be time consuming, I find it to be very therapeutic and calming. I love how the sugar petals behave and feel in my hand and how you can take a little ball of sugar paste and turn it into a beautiful flower.
